About Us

The Youth Reception is a "low-threshold service" aimed at young people up to 24 years old.

All our receptions are HBTQ certified, and we operate based on the collaboration agreement that is common for the Västra Götaland region and the 49 municipalities in the county. We strive for diversity and welcome all applicants.

The Youth Reception in Kungälv belongs to the area of Southern Bohuslän North, which also includes receptions in Stenungsund and Ale. The receptions collaborate with each other and have a common unit manager, APT, supervision, and further education. Together, we form a cross-professional team consisting of midwives, social workers, and doctors, working from a person-centered approach in addressing the mental, sexual, and social health of young people. About the Job

As a social worker at the youth reception, you will work independently with a focus on the youth and at their request. You will have supportive conversations that may involve relationships, self-esteem, sexuality, etc. You should be able to offer therapeutic conversations for mild forms of mental health issues such as anxiety, sleep problems, mild eating disorders, and depression. You will work with conversations in both physical and digital forms. As a social worker with us, you will work in a team with other staff. You will be part of the entire youth reception operation in our area with close collaboration across reception and professional boundaries.

About You

We are looking for someone who is a social worker. It is an advantage if you are a licensed health and medical care social worker and if you have a basic education in psychotherapy and sexology.

As a person, you are responsible, flexible, positive, and have a professional approach. You also have the ability to reflect, prioritize, and organize your work in a way that is beneficial for the assignment. Furthermore, you enjoy working independently while also having good teamwork skills. You have a genuine interest and previous experience working with young people and young adults both individually and in groups. We place great importance on personal suitability for the position.

Conditions

The place of employment is Kungälv, but if necessary, the position may also involve work at our other receptions within Southern Bohuslän North. The employment applies to the entire VGR.
